STATION AND CONTENTRadio 3FM is a Community-commercial Radio Station that offers entertainment, education, information and inspiration to the Chipata Community and the surrounding areas in Zambia. The Radio Station took to the airwaves in Chipata on 12th April 2020 with the objective of strengthening and enlightening the community by broadcasting agribusiness programming, that is human-driven, innovative and educative. The Station prides in putting a smile on every listener's face. Radio 3FM's format and content is agriculture programmes (20%), business, economic and trade (15%), news and current affairs (13%), health, education, women & children (10% each), environment, tourism, social, culture (5% each) and politics (2%). Radio 3FM is listened to by a reasonable mature and affluent audience, with high and realistic disposable income. The listeners are about 50% primarily educated, financially stable family-oriented adults. About 40% of our top earners enjoy a modest standard of living and they fall within Living Standards Measure between 6-8. It has an equally large number of youth listeners. About 50% of our audience falls within our core target market aged between 25-65 and about 45% of our listeners follow us on Facebook. Nearly 50% of our listeners are loyal and only listen to 3FM.
